More and more people are stepping away from gluten or wheat in their diets…so by popular request, we’ve been working on a line of gluten-free products. While we haven’t yet developed a bread that meets our standards, we do have scones, brownies, and other sweet treats. If you’re hoping for something specific, call us (207-359-8344) and place a direct order; otherwise find us at the markets and ask. We’ll be happy to help you.

**please note, all our foods are produced in the same kitchen, so despite our efforts, even our GF items may have come in contact with flour and other wheat and gluten products. If you cannot tolerate even trace amounts of gluten, our products might not be right for you.

Saturday: 9:30 AM-12:30 in Ellsworth, and 9-11:30 AM in Blue Hill

Millbrook sweets are a fantastic finish for any meal and a great start to the day. In addition to our famous (and addictive!) sticky buns, we offer a wide range of desserts including bars, cakes, and cookies. Everything on this list is available by special order or at the farmers markets.

Millbrook is a locally owned bakery and kitchen in Sedgwick, Maine, specializing in artisan breads and baked goods. We think food should come from the earth, so we use real ingredients with an emphasis on natural products. Order directly from us for a full range of everyday and special items, or find a limited selection at the Blue Hill Co-Op and Mainescape in Blue Hill, The Cave in Brooklin, and T&C Grocers in Castine. In summers, find us at local farmer’s markets for oven-to-table goodness.

Current Baking Schedule

We’re into the summer baking schedule! Baking days change by the week, but in general we do not bake over the weekend and do bake most other days. Please call (207 359-8344) well in advance (two days is good, more is better) to make sure we can fill your order. Orders should be in the day before the baking day–we often begin to bake before sunrise. We’re happy to take special orders with 48 hours’ notice. If your schedule is tighter, call and ask–there might be something we can do.
